The Black Spot Guild is committed to helping people learn to sail. As such, for every cob sold, $1is donated to a non-profit educational sailing program. Currently the donations go to Outward Bound, an organization dear to me.
Outward Bound offers educational trips of all sorts for all ages all around the world. They focus not only on learning the basic physical skills, but on even more important life skills such as teamwork, leadership and communication.
One of the programs they offer is sailing. So, every cob you buy not only gets you more precious booty, but also helps send someone to sea to learn how to sail, that could otherwise not afford it.
