Why does one start making super cool silver pirate coins for the world to enjoy?!
Well, I'll tell you a story....
When I was about 5 years old, my uncle took my brother and I to a small island in New York via rowboat. On that island he very subtly guided us towards "finding" a very real "piece of 8" that was conveniently sitting at the base of a tree. When we got home we proudly displayed that pirate silver. And from that day on, I was in love with treasure!
Well, that very same cob still has a place of honor in a display case, and I never forgot, nor ever really fully left that island and that experience, as I'm sure any psychologist would tell you.
So now, many moons later, I decided it was my turn to share my love of pirate treasure with the world. Only I didn't want to do it the same way other artists did it. There were enough people making accurate silver cobs either from striking or from molds. I decided to make that love of Pirates more present in my cobs. So that is why, no matter how similar some of my cobs may seem to the real thing, there is always something a little extra "piratey" about them! At first glance it might seem like a normal "1715 fleet" or "pillars and waves" style. A closer look will reveal my subtle or not so subtle love of pirates!

I said it on the "About" page, and I'll say it again here; count on about a week to make your cobs and get them shipped. But please keep in mind; this is a hobby of mine, not my whole life. And this whole operation is only me; I try to have plenty of silver in all the time for orders, but sometimes it may be a few days to get enough silver in depending how many orders I am working on. Then it will take a few more days once the silver arrives to make your cobs and get them out to you. Or perhaps I am just out sailing and doing pirate stuff for a few days! So please be patient.
